MASTER CERAMIST
This position is primarily responsible for building up and designing dental crowns, creating and installation of dental prosthetics, creating the prosthetics that will be installed in patients’ mouths, such as crowns, bridges, replacement teeth, porcelain veneer, and any other artificial teeth pieces. To accomplish this, molds are taken of the patients’ mouths by performing the following duties.

What we ask.
Duties & Responsabilities
- Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Applies layers of porcelain or acrylic paste over metal framework to form dental prostheses, for example crowns, bridges, and porcelain veneer , according to specific instructions included by the dentist on the lab slip (refer to lab slip).
- Mix porcelain or paste according to prescription to match the color of natural teeth.
- Applies layers of mixture over metal framework, using brushes and spatula.
- Verifies accuracy of tooth dimensions and occlusion of teeth, using micrometer and articulator.
- Cleans and polishes dental prostheses, using ultrasonic machines and polishing machines.
- Uses independent judgment in completing the case.
- Exhibits a great degree of accuracy and detail in workmanship
- Completes an acceptable number of units per day (6 units for master ceramist or 8-10 units for regular ceramist).
- Assists other ceramists based on laboratory needs.
- Juggles multiple tasks and ensures highest quality is met on all cases.
Tracks due dates for completion. - Works closely with lab owner and administrative staff in placing case completion and in addressing any clarification needed to ensure the case is done successfully.
- Notifies management of any noted delays.
- Requests supplies from administrative staff ahead of time to avoid interruption in the process.
- Review cases with the lab owner before the case is shipped out.
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workplace.
Other qualifications
- 5+ Years Experience as a Ceramist.
